      Bernard Cornwell is a master of history and master of the pen. He is an author of historical novels and a illegitimate child of war. He began writing to support his family, and soon became known for his novels about the Napoleonic Wars, featuring the magnificent Richard Sharpe. Sharpe's Company I have enjoyed this series and can not wait to start the next book. I usually alternate the Sharpe series with Patrick O'Brian's Capt Aubrey series.
